EcoVize was founded by a pair of local Energy Auditors in the fall of 2024 to address a variety of growing needs within Downeast Maine.
First and foremost, to save people money and increase their comfort while addressing the growing energy crisis. Maine has some of the oldest housing stock in the nation, and energy prices aren’t going down. Combine that with the fact some state and federal benefits programs are losing funding (such as HEAP), AND there are so many financial incentives for energy efficiency and rebates – it really is a no-brainer.
To that end, EcoVize is also committed to professional development within the fields of building science, weatherization and green energy. With over a decade of teaching and tutoring experience between them, as well as familiarity with the processes behind the certifications, it is EcoVize’s firm belief that in order to support our primary goal of saving money and increasing comfort, we must help develop knowledge, awareness, and the amount of personnel in these fields.
